Following the endorsement of the Chair of the Education Select Committee, Robert Halfon MP, Lucy Allan MP has received a second letter of support for Telford College's new Digital Hub from the Secretary of State for Education, Gavin Williamson MP.
Lucy has spoken directly with the Secretary of State to raise the project, which has been planned by the Telford Towns Fund Board in collaboration with Telford College and the University of Wolverhampton. The Secretary of State has praised the project's vision and cooperation with key local stakeholders. Whilst he is unable to endorse the project directly, he has spoken in support of the aims to provide greater access to STEM subjects.
Lucy Allan MP said:
"To receive a second letter praising the aims of the new digital and skills hub is a real sign of how important this scheme is for Telford. I will continue to work with the other members of the Towns Board to make this proposal a reality."
