Families in Telford on lower Council Tax bands with less energy efficient homes are now eligible for a share of the Government’s new £1 billion insulation scheme. The scheme will offer households money to upgrade or install their roof, loft or cavity wall insultation to cut energy bills by as much as £400 a year.
To be eligible for support, you must be in Council Tax bands A-D with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of D or below. It is estimated that some 300,000 households across the UK will be eligible for energy efficiency upgrades.
