The Shropshire Chamber of Commerce held their annual Business Awards at Telford International Centre last night, rewarding outstanding companies and leaders across a range of categories.
At Lucy's request, the Chancellor of the Exchequer recorded an introductory video thanking the Shropshire business community and wishing those shortlisted for an award well.
The awards reflect the diligence and entrepreneurialism of Shropshire's business community and are open to all businesses in the county, whether a member of the Chamber of Commerce or not. Twelve awards were given last night, including Company of the Year, Young Business Person and the Covid Response Award.
The Chancellor is a strong supporter of local business and innovation, which drives growth and employment across the country. He was very happy to be asked to contribute a video to the evening’s events.
Telford has a proud entrepreneurial spirit and the awards are an opportunity to recognise the hard work put in by those in the business community over the past year.
