Today in Parliament, Minister Paul Scully responded to an urgent question about the ongoing fight for justice on behalf of the 555 wrongfully convicted sub-postmasters.
Lucy has consistently been one of the most active parliamentary campaigners on behalf of the sub-postmasters, who were wrongfully convicted of fraud and theft as a result of a computer error.
Despite concerns being raised at the time, Civil Servants and management at the Post Office chose to ignore issues relating to the Horizon accounting software and seek prosecutions, using the full corporate power of the Post Office.
Lucy asked the Minister to seek justice and to ensure that the Post Office apologises to all those whose lives it ruined through its corporate and unempathetic legal battle.
