Today in Parliament, Lucy Allan MP took the opportunity to raise the success of Telford College in supporting young people with the Chancellor.
Telford college is a very active local stakeholder, working closely with Government and the Council on the successful Towns Fund Bid and the new digital skills hub in the station quarter.
In the past 12 months, Telford College has delivered apprenticeships to over 1000 students from Level 2 to Level 5, covering 20 sector areas and working with approximately 700 employers.
The College's Talent Pool has over 150 prospective students, securing apprenticeship positions in the near future. The College currently has 105 apprenticeship vacancies for starts in July and August.
The continued success of the College's apprenticeship provision allows planning for further growth, with even more apprenticeship pathways available from next academic year.
The College continues to work with both large and small employers including as Muller, Schneider, Palethorpes and The Works. The College plays a key role in providing the skills training that is vital to levelling up opportunities in Telford and across the West Midlands.
