This morning, Telford MP Lucy Allan met with Derrick Campbell, the regional director of the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) with the other Shropshire MPs.
The IOPC plays an important role in handling complaints about the Police and holding officers to the highest standards of professionalism.
Lucy took the opportunity to raise the role of West Mercia Police in the Dalian Atkinson case and to speak about the handling of the Georgia Williams case.
Additionally, Lucy raised the issue of county lines drug dealing and CSE in Telford with Mr Campbell.
Lucy is a strong supporter of our Police, but firmly believes that they must be held to account for the powers and responsibilities they hold. The IOPC is an important partner organisation in achieving this.
