This week, Lucy Allan MP visited Mecca Bingo Telford to discuss their 'Everyone Deserves a Christmas' hamper campaign and make a donation.
The campaign aims to provide Christmas food and gift hampers to vulnerable families in the weeks leading up to Christmas. They are accepting donations every day from 4-9pm and are particularly looking for Christmas dinner food items, including stuffing, gravy granules, tinned meat, mint sauce and mince pies. Monetary donations can also be made via their JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/everyone-deserves-a-xmas-meccat… with all proceeds being used to purchase items for the hampers.
During the visit, Lucy thanked Mecca Bingo staff for their hard work in launching the campaign and collecting donations, and learned more about the challenges facing bingo halls as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
