Today in Parliament, Lucy Allan MP asked the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Jesse Norman MP, if the Treasury would support technology accelerators as a key driver of jobs and growth in our post-coronavirus economy.
The Minister stated his interest at the proposal and agreed to a meeting with Lucy to discuss this proposal further.
In a response to a further question, the Minister acknowledged that technology accelerators are a key driver of internal growth and help to create a more sustainable productive green economy.
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) works closely with the Treasury to ensure the right conditions for businesses to grow and to employ more people.
