Today at Prime Minister's Questions, Lucy Allan MP asked the PM to put young people at the heart of the Government's coronavirus recovery strategy.
Young people's lives have been particularly impacted by the coronavirus, with disruption to schooling and university tuition. It is likely that any economic impact will fall disproportionately on those recent school leavers and graduates seeking work .
The Prime Minister thanked Lucy for her work championing the voice of young people and highlighted the Government's new £2.5 billion National Skills Fund which will assist young people's opportunities in the future.
The Fund will be targeted on improving skills through opening new Technical Institutes, funding apprenticeships and supporting the roll-out of T-Levels.
