Today in Parliament, Lucy Allan MP contributed to an Urgent Question in Parliament regarding Government guidance to enable people to return to work safely.
The session was held using Parliament's new hybrid procedure, allowing Ministers to respond from questions from MPs who cannot be present in the House of Commons due to social distancing rules.
Lucy asked the Business Minister, Paul Scully MP, whether the guidance would ensure that as many businesses could return to work as soon as possible provided they adhered to social distancing and increased hygiene guidance.
Safe working will inevitably vary from workplace to workplace but if medical guidance permits it, Lucy has been clear that she would like to see businesses return to operation.
Paul Scully MP responded by agreeing with Lucy that guidance should give businesses and employees the confidence to return to work and return to their vital role in the economy.
