Following the news that the Government’s Small Business Grant Scheme had begun to be delivered to Telford businesses last week,
Government grants have proved to be a vital lifeline for Telford businesses and Lucy has welcomed the hard work of the team at Telford & Wrekin Council to administer their delivery.
As of Tuesday, 14th April:
- Applications remain open to businesses in Telford
- Over 1600 applications have been made
- 90% have been approved
- Some businesses that were declined have been successful in securing the grant on appeal
- £19 million has been awarded in grant funding
Businesses that have been unsuccessful but believe they could be eligible for the scheme can appeal the decision with Telford & Wrekin Council.
Lucy has successfully lobbied on behalf of local businesses for their unsuccessful applications to be overturned.
