Local MP, Lucy Allan, who is a member of the House of Commons Education Select Committee, has today congratulated A Level students across Telford on their exam results.
Telford College for example was celebrating its best ever set of A-level results, with 100 per cent success rates across a host of subject areas including further maths, English language, literature, geography, economics, fine art, photography, biology and sociology. The college’s overall pass rate is up by six per cent on last year, and overall achievement rates were ahead of national average figures with achievement rates across the entire college up by eight per cent.
Lucy Allan said:
“Well done to all teenagers in Telford who have collected their A Level results today, it is always a very nervous yet exciting day. and marks a turning point in lives of young people.
“Everyone should be very proud of their achievements and a big thank you to all the hard working dedicated teaching staff in Telford who do a fantastic job of preparing our young people for bright futures.”
