This morning, Lucy commemorated the fallen at an Armistice Day service at the War Memorial in Telford Town Park. As the local MP, Lucy will be attending other commemorations across Telford on Remembrance Sunday.
Amongst those in attendance were pupils from Old Park Primary School, the Mayor of Telford & Wrekin Raj Mehta and the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire Jenny Wynn and other community representatives.
Lucy was pleased to see Eddie Mansfield, a veteran and community champion who received a Points of Light Award from the Prime Minister for his dedication to volunteering on his birthday, 11th November last year.
Whilst a solemn occasion, it was a moment for Telford to reflect and to pay respects to the fallen.
