On Thursday 23 June, we have the chance to decide Britain’s future.
The last time we got a say on Europe was 40 years ago and this chance will not come again.
In the last few months, we have heard a great deal from the elites, the establishment, the bureaucrats, and those who benefit from the EU.
But they are not talking our language; they are not listening to the millions of ordinary people across Britain whose everyday lives are most affected by our membership of the EU.
Now it's time for the British people to have their say.
Many people in Telford, like millions across the country, are affected by increasing pressure on public services, by the difficulties of getting a school place, by the waiting time to see their GP, by the driving down of wages as they compete for jobs and by the ever increasing demands made on our NHS; the less well off are the most exposed to the reality of EU membership.
As the debate has become complex with sound and fury on all sides, we should remember that like any major decision, there are no guarantees. But we can trust our instincts, keep it simple, go back to core principles, use our common sense. We can ask ourselves: does this feel right?
As a nation we are strong enough and confident enough to make a decision based not on fear, not on what the establishment tells us is in our best interests, but on what we believe is right for Britain, for our children and grandchildren.
We are brave enough to vote for change, to vote for something better.
Most people recognise the EU is a political union that isn’t working. It has resulted in huge unemployment across Southern Europe. The UK’s voice is being ignored. I believe Britain has a better future outside this failing political union.
We are a strong confident people. We want to be free; free to decide who comes to our country, free to make our own laws, free to trade with the rest of the world. Why would anyone want to be controlled by an unelected clique of Eurocrats, whose goal is to protect the interests of a political union that we, the British people, never chose to be a part of?
On Thursday, trust your heart, trust your instincts and vote for Britain's future.
