This week, the Government announced millions of families will receive the second of three £300 Cost of Living Payments between 31st October and 19th November, helping the most vulnerable people in Telford with their day to day costs as the Prime Minister delivers on his promises to halve inflation, grow the economy and reduce debt.
Between 31st October and 19th November millions of families across the UK on means-tested benefits will receive a second Cost of Living Payment, totalling £900 across three payments – with some families receiving up to £1,350 of support in total. Payments will be made automatically, and eligible pensioner households will also receive a further £300 payment later this year as an addition to the Winter Fuel Payment.
This builds on the already existing support for the cost of living, including paying for half of family’s energy bills, as the Government works to halve inflation, grow the economy and reduce debt.
Lucy Allan MP said:
“From 31st October, eligible Telford residents in receipt of benefits will automatically receive their cost-of-living payments. I would encourage anyone who has not received their payments by November and believes they are eligible to please get in touch and I would be happy to help.”
