Theresa May is exactly what the country needs in a post Brexit world.
She is a strong and determined leader; unflappable, highly experienced, down to earth with a desire to put ordinary working class people at the top of her agenda. She has genuine warmth and consideration for others.
She is respected across the House as someone who values hard work and who will ensure that Government is at the service of the people.
Theresa May is exactly the sort of Prime Minister that people in Telford can relate to and trust.
She has made inspired choices for her Cabinet - bringing together the Party in a collaborative and collegiate manner. I particularly admire her choice of Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary and Justine Greening as Education Secretary, both of whom I have worked with over the years.
The PM's stance on Brexit is to be welcomed and I am pleased by her commitment to trigger Article 50 by March 2017. Telford overwhelmingly voted to leave the EU and we know that the Prime Minister will not be diverted from her course by those who are struggling to accept the implications of the vote to leave on 23rd June.
She has a tough job ahead, but she has already shown in her first 100 days she is more than up to the challenge.
