Telford MP Lucy Allan and MP for The Wrekin, Mark Pritchard, have today written to Sir Neil McKay to call for a review of the highly contentious Future Fit proposals.
Sir Neil, the Chair of the Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Sustainability and Transformation Partnership, which is responsible for the future of Healthcare in Telford and across the county.
The Future Fit proposals continue to be opposed by both borough MPs, as well as many local councillors and residents.
The original proposals, developed in 2014, have ballooned in cost from £312 million to a current forecast of £498 million - and are likely to rise.
Lucy Allan MP and Mark Pritchard MP are therefore calling for a comprehensive review of the proposals to ensure that they are amended and updated for the post-pandemic world to ensure they meet the needs of local people.
