Following discussions with her constituents and a visit to Telford Central, Lucy has submitted a letter to the consultation, which is now open until Friday, 1st September.
Lucy’s key submissions include:
- Demanding a guarantee of staff remaining on site to assist passengers at all times
- Importance that all types of ticket will be made available to travellers at the machine and that they are not forced to buy the most expensive day tickets
- Concerns about the impact on blind and visually impaired people
- Concerns about the impact on wheelchair users and other disabled passengers who must be fully supported and the machines made accessible to all travellers

I encourage all my constituents concerned about the current proposals to submit their opinion to the consultation before 1st September. Consultations are an important part of public participation in society and the train operators have given assurances that all submissions will be considered in full before reforms are made.
