Following the Prime Minister's decision to award Telford veteran Eddie Mansfield a Points of Light Award, Lucy Allan MP was today delighted to present Eddie with a framed and signed copy of his award.
Ednam "Eddie" Mansfield was recommended by Lucy for the Prime Minister's award for his lifetime of service in all three branches of the armed forces. Fittingly, the Prime Minister awarded Eddie on his birthday, Armistice Day.
After his military service, Eddie became a civilian instructor for the Air Training Corps. Eddie is also the standard bearer for the local branch of the Royal British Legion and founded the Telford veterans breakfast clubs, bringing together veterans on a regular basis.
Lucy was today proud to give Eddie his award, signed by the Prime Minister, today.
