Following an 8-page Shropshire Star investigation that had set out the detail of the scale of the challenges facing patients and NHS staff across Shropshire, Lucy attended Health Questions to request a meeting with the Secretary of State and other Shropshire MPs.
Lucy Allan MP asked:
In today’s Shropshire Star, my local paper, there is an eight-page spread on what is happening to healthcare in Shropshire, which is described as a war zone. Will the Secretary of State meet me and other Shropshire MPs to discuss the challenges we face?
Lucy will ensure that the other Shropshire MPs are also invited to the meeting once arranged given the issues seen in Telford are experienced to varying degrees across the county.
Improving residents’ healthcare access and experience is a priority for Lucy in Parliament and something she will continue to campaign on.
