Yesterday in Parliament Lucy asked Policing Minister, Kit Malthouse MP, to treat addiction as a health issue.
Drugs have a massive impact on the families of those who are addicted, and the cycle of criminalisation often causes more harm to those who are suffering with addiction and those who care most about them.
Lucy asked the Minister whether the Government could move towards a more health-based response to addiction and interrupt this cycle of criminalisation that prevents recovery and rehabilitation.
