Telford's MP Lucy Allan MP, who is Chair of All Party Parliamentary Group for New Towns said:
“ It was a fantastic opportunity to get people together at the highest level, to address some of the issues that my residents raise with me. I was able to introduce the Secretary of State to the Chief Operating Officer of Telford & Wrekin Council and the Chief Executive of Bournville Village Trust. We had a very constructive discussion about the issues at Lawley Village and the need to properly manage developers to ensure the needs of residents are met.
“We also discussed the David Wilson Homes access road and the concerns people in Lightmoor have about this issue.
“The Minister praised the quality of the Keep Moat development which is a fantastic example of good development.
“I stressed the need to ensure that infrastructure investment keeps pace with housing development and the need to provide schools, roads, GPs, parking and all the local services that go into creating a community where people want to live.”
