Over the weekend, Lucy asked Telford residents to contact her to give their feedback about bus services in Telford. The response was overwhelming, with a variety of concerns and complaints about timetabling, late and cancelled buses and inconvenient routes.
People of all ages rely on Arriva services for their commute, journey to school, or trip to the shops as they go about their day-to-day-lives. The local economy depends on reliable transport links and Lucy is keen to find a solution to these issues as soon as possible.
Telford & Wrekin Council have also been working with Arriva to improve bus services and Lucy looks forward to working with all relevant parties to deliver improved services as soon as possible.

I have written to the Chief Executive of Arriva on a number of occasions about the reliability, routes and timetabling for buses in Telford.
I have unfortunately not been satisfied with the response and so this weekend I asked my constituents to write to me detailing their experience. The response was overwhelming and confirmed my worries that services continue to fail residents that rely on them for day to day activities.
I have asked for a meeting with a representative from Arriva so I can raise these issues directly and will work towards a solution together with Arriva’s management and Telford & Wrekin Council.
