Local MP, Lucy Allan and Councillor Jayne Greenaway will tomorrow meet with senior officials from Barratt Homes, Persimmon and Taylor Wimpey to discuss Phase 11 of the Lawley development in Telford.
Ms Allan will raise concerns highlighted by residents living in Lawley about the impact the development is having on on the local area. Residents have raised concerns about the air pollution from the dust as well as noise pollution from the machinery being used to develop the land.
The developers obtained planning permission for 3,300 homes at Lawley Village. As part of the outline planning permissions, they are permitted to carry out on site enabling and investigative works for Phase 11.
Lucy Allan said:
“I look forward to meeting the developers tomorrow to raise residents’ concerns about the development and the disruption which it is causing.
“It is important for local residents’ to be consulted during any form of development as this will have a significant impact on their daily lives. I hope to find a resolution with the developers tomorrow.”
