Today in Parliament, the Health and Social Committee began their first session on its inquiry into NHS dentistry.
NHS dentistry is an issue often raised with Lucy by residents and in many cases people have found it challenging to access dental services. The pandemic has had a significant impact on the operating model and created extensive backlogs and pent-up demand.
As the NHS is reformed into accountable Integrated Care Systems, which will oversee all NHS services under their jurisdiction, the Committee’s Inquiry seeks to better understand the current issues in the system and where improvements could be made.
